This guide provides useful resources to the faculty, staff and students researching the person and legacy of St. John Baptist de La Salle and the general history of the Brothers of the Christian Schools and Lasallian world.
1. Who may submit a question?
Any La Salle University affiliated patron: students, faculty, administrators and staff. We cannot answer questions for the general public which is why we require your La Salle ID#.
2. Who will answer my question and how will I receive my answer?
One of our librarians will email a response.
3. How long will it take for a response?
Most questions will be answered within 2 working days. Questions received Friday through Sunday will not be answered until Monday. Responses may be delayed during holidays.
4. What kinds of questions can I ask?
You can ask any question which you might pose at the Reference Desk. Check first with our Frequently Asked Questions page to see if your question has been answered already.
Acceptable types of questions:
Where should I look for information of a particular topic?
I need a quick fact: an address, a biographical or historical fact, a correct citation.
Can I set up a meeting with a librarian for a particular time?
Remember: the librarians will steer you in the right direction, but they will not do your research for you. That remains your responsibility as part of your education.
