This guide provides useful resources to the faculty, staff and students researching the person and legacy of St. John Baptist de La Salle and the general history of the Brothers of the Christian Schools and Lasallian world.

If you need materials that Connelly Library doesn't have, there are two services that can help.

  • E-ZBorrow is a self-service option (for books only): you search for the item and we get it to you.
  • Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a full-service option: we search for the item and get it to you.

These services are provided at no cost to you.

E-Z Borrow

Request books from over 50 partner academic libraries by searching all of their catalogs simultaneously.

 
Patron ID#:     EZ Borrow

 

  1. Enter ID# found on the front of your La Salle ID into the field above.
  2. Search for the book you're looking for.
  3. In the results page, click on the book you want.
  4. In the book record, look for the request option.
  5. Click Request.

After you click Request, you should see a message that says "Your request has been submitted to E-ZBorrow."

When the item is available for pickup, you'll receive an email letting you know.

ILL

Request books, articles, theses, and more.

 Submit ILL Request

  1. Click Submit ILL Request button above.
  2. Choose appropriate requests form (article, book, chapter, etc.).
  3. Log in using your name and the ID# located on the front of your La Salle ID Card
  4. Fill out form.
  5. Click Submit This Request.

Patrons will receive PDFs of electronic items via email.

Patrons will be notified via email when physical items are ready to be picked up.

If an item is unattainable, the ILL office will email the patron to inform them.

  • Your name at Log in must be formatted exactly as it appears on La Salle ID i.e. Smith, John A.
  • If your ID# does not work, try instead the 14 digit Barcode can be found on the back of La Salle ID i.e. 25006....
  • If you are receiving an Error, call 215-951-1292 to check that your library record is up to date and in good standing.
  • If you are requesting articles, it is important that your library record has an accurate La Salle email address on file.
  • Some items, like textbooks, are very difficult to acquire.
  • If an item is unattainable, the ILL office will email the patron to inform them.
  • Use the Article Locator button to submit requests directly from our databases.
