Have more than a quick question? Schedule a research consultation with a reference librarian. This is great if you're new to research, are starting a research assignment, or if you just need a refresh on library resources.
Librarians are available to help faculty incorporate Institutional Learning Outcomes into their research assignments. We also can collaborate with faculty on embedding information literacy concepts into their courses and making suggestions for using relevant library resources.
Our instruction services include:
Classroom instruction should be scheduled at least two weeks in advance to ensure the use of the Library classroom and allow time for dialog between faculty and teaching librarians.
A librarian will work with you to plan and deliver instruction relevant to your course and student research assignment.
A response to your request will be provided within 2 to 3 working days.

The Archives & Digital Initiatives Department offers basic primary-source research orientations and specialized instruction sessions that include content related to coursework or research projects. Sessions include an introduction to Archival resources and research methods using University Archives records, manuscript collections, photographs, film, and digital media. We’ll work with you to tailor the instruction session to your course's subject matter and learning objectives.

The Department of Special Collections offers instructional sessions on topics relating to the Library’s rare book and manuscript collections. We welcome classes into our spaces to engage students in special areas of research with a unique, hands-on approach to orientation. We facilitate instructor-led class meetings and librarian-led orientations in our reading room.
