History of Nursing Collection
Dr. Sandra Davis, who served as a La Salle nursing faculty member, donated a collection of historic nursing books to Connelly Library. This collection, now the Nursing History Collection, continues to grow with new historic items being added yearly. The collection contains:
- Popular depictions of nurses and nursing in America
- Historic nursing textbooks and journals
- Historic nursing association records
- Novels that feature nurse protagonists

The Imaginative Representations of the Vietnam War Collection
The Vietnam War collection provides a body of evidence demonstrating how creative interpretations of the Vietnam War, and the highly volatile era in which it took place, continue to evolve and influence perceptions of American popular culture. Included in this collection, are fictive and documentary works that portray nurses and nursing during the Vietnam War era.
