Article Locator: Sidebar

Sometimes Article Locator will display a sidebar, which will offer options to take when the full text of an article does not appear.  Some instances when this might come up:

  • Some databases do not allow for article-level linking. You can use the sidebar to go into the archives for the journal and find the article by volume, issue, date and page.
  • Sometimes there is a linking problem in one particular database. If the journal is owned by another database, you can choose to see if links work in that database.
  • If no links work, you have the option of submitting an interlibrary loan for the article, just as you can do from a regular Article Locator page.

Below find a video on using the sidebar and some examples of how it can help.
