RefWorks - The New RefWorks: Getting Started with the New RefWorks
This update to RefWorks is a new way to collect, manage and organize research papers and documents. You can read annotate, organize, and cite your research as well as collaborate with friends and colleagues by sharing collections. RefWorks’ drag and drop capability along with our smart document recognition makes it easy and fast to upload documents and bibliographic metadata into your library and the Save to RefWorks feature allows you to capture research from websites with the click of a button.
From simple bibliographies to papers formatted with in-text citations or footnotes, RefWorks handles it all.
PLEASE NOTE: Once you have a RefWorks account, you can login by clicking on the Research tab on the homepage, OR pick RefWorks from the Databases tab
Because La Salle University is a subscribing institution, you can get an institutionalaccount which includes 10GB of document storage, unlimited sharing inside and outside the institution, easy institution-wide sharing, phone and email tech support, training and more.
Fill in your information making sure to use your La Salle email address (you can’t sign up with @yahoo.com, @gmail.com, etc.). Using your La Salle email address lets RefWorks know that you are entitled to an institutional account (with all the benefits mentioned above!).
Once you activate your account (you'll receive an email with a link to complete the registration process), you’ll get access immediately and can get started managing your documents.

Signing up for the New RefWorks using Summon
You can easily sign up for a New RefWorks account when you are saving records for Export while using Summon. After saving your items go the saved items folder (top right hand corner of the screen) and click the folder
This will bring up a screen where you can export references and sign up for an account in the New RefWorks - be sure to sign up with your La Salle email account to take advantage of the Institutional account.
