IT Ethics: Getting books from Other Libraries

If you find a book listed in one of the "Further Readings", Footnotes, Endnotes etc. , you can cut and paste the title into Summon to see if we have it either in print or online.  If there are too many journal articles or book reviews showing up, just go the the Filters on the left and click Book/Ebook to limit to books only. If however we do NOT own the book in any format, you can use E-ZBorrow to get it quickly and easily from the PALCI system (Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium Inc.)  .  This is a borrowing system set up among Pennsylvania academic libraries (and including Rutgers, Rowan, West Virginia University and NYU).  Just place the request below.

Request books, articles, theses, and more.

 Submit ILL Request

  1. Click Submit ILL Request button above.
  2. Choose appropriate requests form (article, book, chapter, etc.).
  3. Log in using your name and the ID# located on the front of your La Salle ID Card
  4. Fill out form.
  5. Click Submit This Request.

Patrons will receive PDFs of electronic items via email.

Patrons will be notified via email when physical items are ready to be picked up.

If an item is unattainable, the ILL office will email the patron to inform them.

  • Your name at Log in must be formatted exactly as it appears on La Salle ID i.e. Smith, John A.
  • If your ID# does not work, try instead the 14 digit Barcode that can be found on the back of La Salle ID i.e. 25006....
  • If you are receiving an Error, call 215-951-1964 to check that your library record is up to date and in good standing.
  • If you are requesting articles, it is important that your library record has an accurate La Salle email address on file.
  • Some items, like textbooks, are very difficult to acquire.
  • If an item is unattainable, the ILL office will email the patron to inform them.
  • Use the Article Locator button to submit requests directly from our databases.
