Plastic Bag by Ramin Bahrani tells the story of one of our "hyperobjects": plastic bags. Human beings have the ability to create materials with timescales of millions of years that we can barely comprehend. These hyperobjects don't participate in our ecosystems because they don't die. This is the story of one of those objects.
