RefWorks Export Guide: Connelly Library Catalog

Instructions

The best way to get material from the Connelly Library Catalog into RefWorks is to use the Search feature in RefWorks

Follow these steps:

1. Run your search in the Connelly Library Catalog as usual.  Find the material (book, video etc.) that you want to put into RefWorks

2. Open another browser screen and sign into RefWorks.  You should have two browser screens open

3. At the top of the RefWorks screen choose Search, then click on Search, then Online Catalog or Database - see below

A list of databases and catalog will come up - scroll down to La Salle University Catalog - please note that from now on RefWorks will remember this as your default catalog to search.  Then type the title of the book, video etc. into the Title, Primary search box.  Don't put in any subtitles! (i.e. nothing after a colon - :)

From the results list, click off the material you want to import into RefWorks, then pick the folder you want to put them in (if you do not yet have a folder to put them in, choose Last Imported).  When you click the folder name, the records will be imported into RefWorks.
